The Happy to Chat Bench project was founded by Ken Waitz to help combat social isolation and foster meaningful connection.
After retiring from a successful career on Wall Street, Ken shifted his focus to social impact. He is the founder of several mission-driven organizations, including The LC Initiative, which provides free life coaching to underserved individuals. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board at 1in6 Support, which offers resources for families of children with disabilities.
Ken was recently appointed as an Ambassador for the Foundation for Social Connection, the leading national nonprofit dedicated to reducing social isolation.
In addition to his nonprofit work, Ken is a professor at Montclair State University, where he is deeply committed to education and mentorship.
Ken lives in New Jersey with his wife, Jessica, and is the proud father of two sons.
